I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

This is it!

Days #361-#365:

In the words of Michael Jackson, "This is it". Our time in 2012 has come to an end. I once again rang out the old year and rang in the new year with Chef and the hotel peeps. I was up in 360 once again. We did 140 covers. That's busy my friends. Then I went down to Swampers and they were SWAMPED. We all did make it out into the restaurant for the countdown and Aud Lange Sine or whatever the name of that song is. This is the first year I missed the balloon drop across the street. Not really sad about that. It's too crazy over there. OH, the peeps in the pic are JimBob, Hannah and Rebecca, Chef and Toby, and Me and Stella! (Looks like Stella partied while I was at work.)

SO, to wrap up another year together, here's 12 things I noticed in 2012.

1.) If possible I'm even more grateful for my Grandma than I've ever been. She's amazing. Old people rock. I always thought I was putting my life on hold, but spending time with Grandma and her sisters have been some of my favorite memories of 2011.

2.) It IS possible to have the perfect day. My weekend with Coach Holladay, one of the top weekends ever.

3.) I'm very grateful that I rescued Stella from the gas chamber and I'm very grateful that Sister didn't kick him out. He drives me nuts, but I love that little guy.

4.) Even though I'm not doing exactly what I want to do with my career, it's nice to have a job, benefits, and the BEST roomie at the Shoals. My time with Chef is some of the best time ever.

5.) Speaking of my roomie, I noticed just the other day as a matter of fact, that I will NEVER learn his language, but I LOVE listening to him talk to his mom. Hilariously, he leaned over to look at my clock or something over my shoulder the other day as he was talking to her. I thought he was going to ask me a question, so of course, I immediately cracked up thinking, "There's no possible way I can help you with a word". I help him with lots of English, but I'll never be helping him translate into Icelandic. That's the hardest language EVER.

6.) I learned that the more I think I know... the less I actually know. And the better I think I am, the more I realize pride is one of my biggest enemies to fight.

7.) I noticed that I have a better online realtionship with a few people that I have in real live person and that's okay. That's the beauty of technology.

8.) As for my cousins, my fam is one of the best in the world. My cousins are awesome. I can't imagine growing up without all of them. It was fun. And it's still a ton of fun when we all get together. I hope we always stay close.

9.) I noticed that Becky and I can actually handle having boys in class. We've learned a TON this year having more boys than girls and so far, it's been a great year! 2nd grade is still awesome and I'm so thankful to get to spend my Sundays with Becky and the kids.

10.) Along with #9, I also noticed that it's good and right to have adult time. Hanging out with the GLC girls is fun and keeps me sane. I love the kids, but we all need adult time every now and then.

11.) Sadly, I noticed that you REALLY have to put some work into keeping up with your childhood pals. This is the first year we didn't all get together for a Christmas breakfast. We're all so busy we just haven't gotten together yet. Maybe January will hold fun times for us. I miss them.

12.) I noticed that I'm going to have to jump if I'm ever going to make big decisions and big changes. Don't know if 2012 is going to bring any big changes for Kim Tittle, but I guess we'll see.

Love to All! Hope to see YOU in the New Year!!! :0)

Happy Birthweekend to Meeee! *<:0)

DAys #348-#350:

It all started with a birthday card from PHYLLIS BARKER! What an awesome way to start the b'day weekend celebration! Then a card from my Aunt Ila Vee and Uncle Bert and then the parade of cakes. Chef got the idea to surprise me with a cake... from everyone. Kid you not, I had 15 cakes for my birthday. It was AMAZING and such a nice surprise. Normally we only share birthdays with one department... this year, I got to share my birthday cake(s) with EVERY SINGLE DEPARTMENT! It was fantastic! Then i got to spend the night with Grandma who is doing AWESOME. And then we had Christmas with her sisters. Seeing her and Aunt Flora together was present enough! Their reunion was the best ever. Then, I went and saw my Auntie Pat and Uncle Cal. LOVE those two! Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeeeeeee! *<:0)

Merryott Christmas!

Days #346 & #347:

We had Town Hall today. It's fun. That's one time when EVERYBODY is in the same room at the same time. My boy JimBob won Manager of the YEar. So proud of that guy. He's awesome. He's the guy in glasses. Selena (a sales mgr) is the lady. Chris Fowler is my other boy. Love him. In all it was fun. There was no vegetarian friendly food... except for some brownies which were delish! The countdown has also officially begun for the Tittle family Christmas. The cousins have a surprise in store for the oldies and I'm working on a surprise for them all. Should be fun!! :0)

Catching up AGAIN...

Day #339-#345:
I'm very behind. It's been that kind of week. Most of you know Gran landed back in the hospital, so that's my excuse. We've been on a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I once had a guy tell me that I had a terrible outlook on life because I said that EVERYTIME something good happened in my life, something terrible would immediately follow; therefore, there was no use in getting all excited about anything because it either wouldn't measure up to the greatness you thought it was supposed to, OR something bad would soon knock you back down. Well friends, it's still true, only now I'm viewing it with a twist. December started out wonderful with my trip from my good buddy and 3 days of his undivided attention. And then I got the call Gran was going back to the hospital. Stress, drama, more stress, nervous breakdown... and then on this side of it, the thought that she is HOME and she's doing OKAY. So maybe TERRIBLE doesn't follow good. The blessing of having her make it through surgery and back home was good following great. That's been my life for the past week. Tonight we went shopping and saw my very first love. Coach Finley just happened to pop into Sears where we were picking up Christmas gifts. He's the best! :0)

Lunch and a Song...

Day #338:
The stars were back in alignment today as Chef and I finally had a long awaited lunch date. It's been entirely too long. I went and picked us up some Mexican from La Hacienda. As always, we talked about how that was the best idea we'd ever had. "Not really", I replied. It was just mexican after all, but Chef assured me it was all in the welcome break and the company. I cracked up. If everybody else was as fantastic as the two of us think we are, the world would be a better place. The funniest part of the day came when Little Susan came down from accounting and was going on and on and on about an invoice. She was right in the middle of her story when she said, "I talked to the LADY" and as soon as she said that, Chef started singing, "Laaaaadddyyy," and I added, "From the moment I saw you....." (If you've ever heard the song Lady from Styx, you'll get that reference). It was hilarious. She was so flustered she finally left. If nothing funny or exciting is happening in your day, MAKE it funny. Good times. :0)
