I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

the Blueberry

Days #331-#333:

Work work work... COMPANY! Tomorrow my best buddy returns to the Shoals! I'm so excited. Coach Holladay is coming to town and I can't wait. If I had to guess, we'll go to a crazy nice dinner and then go for coffee or somewhere fun and I'll talk 90-to-nothing and he and sister will sit and laugh. That's normally how it goes. In the meantime, here's what I bought myself this holiday season. I dropped my camera in the sand at the beach, killing it, so i had to get another one because let's face it, I can't go anywhwere without my camera. SO, I got the new blueberry. ISn't it just the cutest thing?! Get excited. I'll get a pic of us tomorrow and you can see just how fabulous the camera takes pics. :0)

Thankful to get away!

Days #331-#336:

Long time no posts! Been at the BEACH! Ft. Morgan was my Thanksgiving destination of choice. No turkey? No problem. Fun times for sure! In getting in the holiday spirit, Cynthia and I made a sandman-snowman. We also rode a carousel. Adam made us a fire on the beach and we had s'mores. We visited the Fort which was AWESOME! For a history nerd, Ft. Morgan is the beach of choice. Such an interestingly FUN place. Even crazier, I had picked up ANdy Andrews book, The Heart Mender, to read on the way and WHO KNEW it would be all about Ft. Morgan. Crazy right? That's it. Enjoy the sunny pics! :0)

Thanks and Giving with the Tittles :0)

Days #327- #330:

I'll make it short. Lots of pics to share. Saturday, went to Christmas Plantation at the LaGrange College Site. It was fun. Very cute. Then went antiquing. Flo-town has some pretty awesome antique shops. Sunday, I very stupidly took the kids glitter and glue. 2nd graders and glitter is NEVER a good idea. Then, headed straight to Grandma's for the Tittle Family Thanksgiving!!! It was SO much fun. They are insane, crazy and eat too much... but I love them. They're all nuts. Best of all GRANDMA was home and doing wonderfully. We had JonDawson's birthday party. Most pics are self-explanatory, but the one with Dennis and Minnie probably needs explaining. I told them to put thier heads together so the "Wonder Twin Powers" could ignite. Good times! Today, Dad-o and Mr. Smith drove up and finally fixed my shower. Yay! :0)

Merry Christmas, Dad-o!

Days #325 & #326:
Christmas came early for Pops. I treated him to a real live Temptations concert tonight. Awesome! Those guys can still move. They were great. We had a blast. :0)

October Baby

DAy #324:

Sister and I went to see OCTOBER BABY tonight. GREAT movie. Two thumbs up from the Kendrick Brothers and the Tittle Sisters. You really don't need Ebert and Ropert's opinions after that. I would highly recommend it if you get a chance to watch. :0)

Prozac could be my best friend...

Day #320- #323:

I almost feel as though this post should come with a warning label. Hold on, peeps. There's been A LOT going on in Kim world. Friday was without a doubt one of the top 10 worst days of my life. All was pretty good until Bowser called at lunch and wanted me to take some kids on a tour. "No problem!" I do that ALL the time. Even better, they didn't have a heck of a lot of time to kill, so we were able to skip the conference center side of the street. I'm thinking, "THIS WILL BE A BREEZE!" Well. We all know what happens when I think. I did my regualr spill through Swampers and down by the pool and up in the Sam Phillips Suite. All that was left was 360. Now, if you all have read the blog before.. or if you know me very well.. you will know that I am TERRIBLY claustraphobic. I'm claustraphobic to the point of I have to have some fresh air or there may be a panic attack. Well, I get on the elevator to go to the top (because for those of you that don't know, the Tower is 22 stories high) and 30 16-year old kids rush in behind me. They find this AWESOME to see how many can pack on. Of course, their teachers remain in the lobby waiting for the next ride, but I wasn't about to let them go up by themselves and tear the restaurant down without someone up there. So we get on, I push the button, we attempt to go up and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It stops. I nearly had a heart attack right then. ONce i realized we weren't going anywhere no matter how many times I pushed the buttons, I called for help. Our engineers came running, but long story short, for the next 1 hour and 45 minutes, I was trapped, in an elevator, with no room to breath, and 30 16-year olds. I nearly passed out twice myself. Seriously. And they were all looking for me to be the adult. There were only 2 really funny parts. Once about 45 minutes in, they were able to open the door about 3 inches wide and they began handing us in some water. (Thankfully we weren't up in the shaft of the Tower, we were still just above the Mezzanine Level.) Anyway, the kids deduced we were going to be there for a while if they were shipping in water. That was funny. Then, at one point when I thought that we were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I said, "Guys, I think we're going down!" And they all freaked out. I quickly followed up with, "In a good way!" It was AWFUL! And of course, every kid had a cellphone and EVERY KID wanted to upload to Facebook and YouTube and all i could think of was "This is going to be a PR nightmare! If i don't die, I will be fired." Finally 1 hour and 45 minutes after the ordeal began, the Fire Department was able to insert an airbag into the small opening in the door and pop the door open. Then we jumped down, about 5 feet to the glorious floor below us. So there we are. Surrounded by Firemen and lined up in front of me are Bowser (the GM), JEnny (the HR Director) and my Chef (who knows I am terribly claustraphobic). I have now spent over 7 hours of my life trapped in elevators. You'd be claustraphobic too if that happened to you. I strongly believe that that has to have some correlation with the fact that I've had 4 fortune cookies with no fortune in them. No way it could get worse, right? WELL... it was my night to keep Grandma. SO, I head down, after a meltdown, and find Uncle Earl, Mason, Coach Shawn, and Justin at Gran's, ready to do some hunting. (The highlight of the weekend was watching Uncle EArl and Coach Shawn attempt to cook breakfast. HILARIOUS!) So my men go off hunting, leaving me to clean the house. As I took out the garbage that they were supposed to take out, I step in dog mess, so I had to leave my boots on the porch because apparently the dog had eaten glue and I couldn't get it off. THEN, as I'm walking bare foot through the house attempting to mop, I step on a WASP! If you've never experienced that before either, I wouldn't recommend it. This is painful. If I didn't believe in a Good and Soverign God, I would swear I really ticked off Buddha. It was also Mason's 15th b'day, so George and I made him a cake and a sign and George painted him a car piggy-bank. George was in less than a good mood, so he wasn't really a ton of fun, and Gran was fussy because she didn't want me driving so late, so finally, I just gave in and took a nap and let the two of them fight it out. Needless to say, I needed me some church time yesterday. Today, much better. No elevators. I had to go to the 6th floor and I climbed every one of those stairs. Just got in from dinner with Kyle and Sister and I just had s'mores... Busy busy busy week ahead. I'll keep you updated. :0)

Happy Early Birthday to Meeeeee! *<:0)

Day #319:
Best end to an 11 hour work day EVER! Chef, Josh and I have been hanging out together all night at the Christy Jordan Food Show. It's pretty funny that we always get stuck doing the booths. None of us are extroverts by any means, so it's like torture making us stand there and talk to people. However, about 6:30ish I got a call from one of my most favorite people in the world. RAndom calls from Coach Holladay are fun. This one was a LOT of fun becuase he told me he's coming to town!! Yep, he's returning to the Shoals in December with a group of kids from Oxford for the big Drama Competition at UNA. He really has no reason other than to come hang with me and go to dinner. I'll take it any day of the week. Happy early birthday to me!! :0)

Ran across this quote tonight, and I like it. That's all. Goodnight. :0)

Flat Matt

Day #316:

We all know by now that I love me some Matt Lauer. Well, there's a thing on the TODAY show that you can print out a flat Matt and take his pic all over the world and send it in and they might put you on the website or on the actual show. HOW EXCITING IS THAT FOR CRAZY TODAY SHOW FANS?! I'm super pumped. SO, today, Chef, JimBob and I took our Flat Matt (we made him a little larger than 8in... he's around 4' tall) up into 360 and had some fun. Here are a few of the pics from today. Stay tuned... we're hoping to end up on the Show. :0)

More from Gran's...

Day #316:

Gran practiced her writing on Saturday. The therapist had told her he wanted her to practice and in 2 weeks, he'd see how she was doing. Well, she didn't need the Kindergarten notepad or fat pencils for 5 year olds that they thought she needed... she wrote her name with no problem. I helped a little at the bottom. I also got very tickled when my cousin Julie came out. That girl is hilarious! She is also crazy talented with any sort of musical instrument whatsoever. NONE of the Tittles got any musical talent, and I think Julie got all of it. Anyway, she's been writing a song for Gran and here, she's letting Gran listen to it. Something about seeing that old lady with earbuds in just makes me laugh. :0)

Painting with Picaso!

Day #316:

Gotta back up a few days. Saturday I spent with Gran and George. George hasn't left since Gran came home. We painted pumpkins and a Nutcracker. George now LOVES to paint. We had a blast... even if he did tell me I'm just about last in line of all Tittles in the cooking world. At first I was at least better than Uncle Earl, but he soon changed that! Fun times! :0)

CuZiNs!!

Days #311- #315:

Nothing as exciting as tonight! Cousin's in town!!! We went and had a delicious dinner at Ricatoni's and enjoyed dessert! YUM YUM!!! Took a nice stroll down Court Street, walking off a few calories. Then we came back and had present time and took a group photo. WE also called our Josephine... miss that guy! Now, we are all of us chill-axing. Fun times! :0)

Let's PARTY!

Days #309 and #310:

Two days of birthdays and One Costume Party. That's been my past two days. Josh Quick's birthday is on Halloween. Of course, we had to have cake. Robin, aka Birdzilla had a birthday today. And so, we had to have cake again. Chef hates to pose for my pics, but he did. Good sport. Last night, our Small Group class had a Costume party. It was SO Much fun. I forget just how much I miss adult time. It was great to talk about things other than American Girl dolls and all the 7 year old news. Fun Times. :0)
