I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

Leefus!

Day #96:

Today, I noticed how nice it is to get a moment to have a pleasant conversation with another Believer at work. For me, these opportuinites are far and few between, so it's nice when it happens. Today, I was less than excited about having to return a rental car, mainly becuase it was late in the afternoon and I think I'm coming down with the Hungarian Flu. Anyway, I had to do it and Lee, or Leefus as I call him, was kind enough to give me a ride back to the Hotel. He's awesome. HE sings very well and is an all around nice guy. We had a great conversation about a message I'd heard the other night. It was good times. :0)

The Tanning Bed

Day #95:

Yeah this is comforting... Went to the Tanning Bed for the first time in my LIFE today. Had a near panic attack on the way. I'm claustraphobic and tanning beds look like caskets. No way was I excited about this. BUT my best friend is getting married, so I can suffer through the tanning process, right? Wow. It was an experience. I wasn't nearly as scared to jump off of the platform while ziplining across the Hawaiian mountaintops as I was to suck it up and get in that bed. But... I survived. 1 down, a zillion more trips to go. :0)

The new Ford Edge

DAy #94:

Had to go pick up a rental car today. Got to drive the BRAND NEW Ford Edge. The Rental guy told me 3 times to be careful which cracked me up. Apparently he thought I was going out to do doughnuts in the parking lot. The old lady that inspected it said that if I didn't know how to work it, she wasn't going to help me becuase it was so high tech. She wasn't kidding. It took me nearly until I got to the other side of the river to figure out how to turn the fan dow. It's all touch-screen and nothing is where you think it is. I did finally figure out how to get the radio on and found the Frank Sinatra station. It was awesome. As you can see here, I got to listen to Rosemary Clooney. That was fantastic. :0)

Sunday - SUNday - SUNDAY!!!

Day #93 (Sunday):
I wanted to throw my children off the roof. That's all we'll say about that. They were awful. I did make this beautiful cake for the little sinners because our Anna is moving to West Virginia. We had the Lord's Supper, thus the cracker in my hand and the grape juice in the shot glass.
Afterward, I went to see my beloved Grandma and family. They were HILARIOUS! All wound up and ready to go. We had a blast. :0)

A Day with the May Fam.

Day #92 (Saturday):

Hilarious. First off it rained Biblical proportions here. Seriously. THought I was going to have to build an ark. Got a call from Leigh-Ann. We got the bright idea to paint Carson's room grey. It turned out periwinkle blue... and then grape. It was hysterical. Chloe colored me a pic. Too cute. Then I had to braid her hair and tried to teach Leigh-Ann how to braid. I eventually told her that it would've been easier to teach Helen KEller sign language. She's too right handed. I don't know how to teach to braid right handed and she can't learn left-handed. It was hilarious. :0)

Chef Duck

Day #91:

Just a day at work. Nothing exciting, however, I did think I needed to take a pic. Here's one of my beloved Chef Duck from the Peabody.

Are you kidding me?

Day #90:
YEah... that's classy. I was driving home from a meeting at the Gym with a COMPLETE jerk who chewed with his mouth open... (right then and there I noticed that either a.) Not everyone had a mother to teach them manners or b.) His mother would be TERRIBLY disappointed if she did teach him manners to see how that turned out). Did I mention he was not friendly AND he was chewing and talking with his mouth open? Disgusting. Anyway, back to the picture. I was driving home and this particular house, located on John Ritter street, has always been rather redneckish. They fly Rebel Flags and such. Now, they've taken it to an all new classy level. They've spray-painted signs and stuck them up in the front yard. I do not feel sorry for them and this is why. If they have enough time and energy to spray paint about other people actually WORKING and stealing their jobs... then they definitely have enough time to stand at a window and ask "Do you want fries with that?" Just saying. :0)

James Spann the Weatherman

Days #88 & 89:

I have noticed that no matter where I live, the only weatherman I trust is James Spann. James Spann the Weatherman. He's from the B'ham station. I grew up with the greatest weatherman EVER. He knows each and every road on the map. He can put a tornado in your back pocket. And when he breaks out the red suspenders... it's going to be a long night. He's hard core. It's supposed to be raining up here night now. However, it is a beautiful, warm, clear night with a million stars in the sky. Brad Travis has NOTHING on James Spann. He's also a nice guy. I got my pic made with him in highschool. All I remember (besides him being nice) was that he wears a LOT of makeup when he's on tv. It was thick. And he said it was melting off of him because we were in the gym and it was about 300 degrees in there. Fun times. :0)

My Matt

Days #86 & 87:

My description of yesterday would have to be like the book of Genisis describes creation. Yesterday was church. It was church and it was good. That's about it. Nothing extraordinary happened yesterday other than the kids were eerily good. They were quiet and listened throughout the entire lesson. I almost forgot what to say because I've never really had their undivided attention all the way through the lesson before. Shocking.

Today, my heart is sad for the family of a very special person. This dashing young fellow was my Matt Finley. The cutest, sweetest, most wonderful guy I ever met. He gave the best hugs. He had the cutest smile that sparkled all the way up to his eyes. I was going to marry him. All my friends knew it (and were sick of hearing about it). I had the wedding planned. But 6 years ago today, those plans changed. I can't believe it's been 6 years. I haven't planned a wedding since. All of our worlds came to a crashing hault in one phone call. 6 years later, I noticed death doesn't get any easier. I'm sure the Finleys would agree. Holidays, Birthdays, and Anniversaries still suck. You start to forget the little things and that hurts. BUT I did find a quote from Robert Frost that says, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on." Robert Frost got it. The world does not stop spinning just because you are sad or mad. So go on. If not for yourself, but for them. I miss you and still love ya, Matt Finley! :0)

**Springtime**

Days #83-85:
We survived Thursday and Friday at work. Chef and I had an excellent Friday afternoon. We noticed that there's really no need to get all stressed out. Instead, you should make your own fun and just realize it's not all about you anyway. Our fun was made when we revived our musical dreams and decided our first big hit single would be a compilation of all of Charlie Sheen's awesome quotes. WINNING will be our chorus...

Skip ahead until last night. I noticed that true love is when your Grandma is waiting up for you (after Spin-the-Wheel goes off) and brings a pizza out of the freezer for supper. This may not sound weird, but my Grandmother NEVER buys pizzas. She went out with her sisters decades ago and they wanted to try that newfangled pizza and all ordered themselves one. Not one slice... one WHOLE pizza, a piece. Hilarious? Yes. This morning, I got up to have Gran making a fire in the fireplace. Once again, we are the only two that can truly enjoy a fire when it's 80 degrees outside.

TODAY was quite awesome, as shown here. Dad-o has been driving me crazy to come spend time with him and go fishing. So, Gran, George and I loaded up and went on a fishing trip. It was hilarious. WE had so much fun. Enjoy! :0)

Chipper!!

Day #82:

My pal, Carlos Berrios, gives the best hugs. He also is REALLY awesome guy. So funny and so nice. He's from Puerto Rico. He's also a BIG baseball fan. He played in college. Not sure if he played in the minors or not. We talk Atlanta Braves baseball often. WE also talk lots about my favorite Brave, Chipper Jones. When Carlos went to Turner Field last summer, he got me a pic. I told him everytime I hear of somebody going to see the Braves, I tell them to get a pic of Chip for me, but no one ever does. Carlos did. He just sent it to me. Awesomeness. Isn't it too cute?! That's my guy! Want to know something equally as cool? He also knows Javy Lopez, a former brave that is also from Puerto Rico. How cool is that?! I thought Javy was the CUTEST guy I'd ever seen when I was a kid. And now, just like one of Oprah's full circle moments, I now know a guy that knows him. In Kim world, that's pretty cool.

The Golden Rule and my Grandma

Days #80&81:
Yesterday (and today) I noticed one thing, I love the good memories I have from elementary school. Mrs. Hogan taught us the Golden Rule and made us say it EVERY single day of 1st grade. It stuck though. You should always be nice to others. No matter how much money you have OR how much power you have, it is never ok to be a monster. I hope that I never make people feel the way that I know certain people make others feel. None of this makes since to any of you, but it makes since to me. If I ever were the boss of a company, team, family, etc. I would hope that I treated everyone from Janitor to Executive with the same amount of respect and didn't rule with fear and dread. That's all I have to say about that.

Today, I also noticed that a call from my Grandma is the BEST way to start the morning. She is hilarious. She told me that she was just studying about me. When I asked what she was studying, she said, "You haven't called me all week. I could've been dead five days and you'd never know it." Hilarious. She also is thinking about going fishing. I think I'll go with her. Considering she never could go out and watch me and all of my cousins swim when we were little becuase looking at the water made her drunk, I can only imagine how a fishing trip would go. :0)

Updates

Days #76-80:
Seriously? It's been 5 days? Wow. I think I missed a couple. If I can remember back that far... our beloved Katie Boggus came to visit and actually brought the famous Ryan (her husband). He's not a hologram folks, he's an actual person. I met him. What else? Don't remember much of Thursday and Friday... Yesterday I washed my car, cleaned at church, then went to work. EXHAUSTING work over at the Heart Ball. Got in bed at 1ish, lost an hour of sleep and got up at 7am. Tired, sore, but ready to go see the kids. They were WILD. 2 favorite stories. First, we were talking about the very sinful woman that was about to get stoned for adultry... as i tried to explain it without talking about adultry, one of the kids said, I wonder if she liked Rock music. Get it... stones, rock music? Too funny. Then, as the children were going absolutely crazy, one of them decided to pray. This was her prayer, "Dear Lord, please make these girls get all of their silliness out and make them be quiet when we go to children's church. Amen." Hysterical. Gotta roll. :0)

Gran, Passport, Kids, Job Fair, Bloodmobile :o)

Days #71-75:

So I'm a bi-weekly blogger now. At least I'm also bi-winning! If you've been watching the meltdown of Charlie Sheen, you'll get that reference. Lots to tell. Friday was spent with the one and only Grandma. It was awesome. She had NO CLUE I went in, showered, dried my hair, ate toast, worked a crossword, red a little, and went to bed. Actually, she didn't even know I was there until 4am Saturday morning. It was funny. Saturday I went and got a passport. That was kinda cool. In 4 weeks I can leave the country if I so feel the need. Sunday my Small Group kids were insane. We made sheep with cotton balls and googly eyes, but they were insane. Yesterday, was just another day at work. Nothing exciting. We did have a job fair and I told Bowser, "Remember, hot, single guys are all you are supposed to hire." His reply, "How do you define hot?" Hello... not looking for a life lesson here. However, Chef gets me. When he came in, I asked him..."Now what is your ONLY job at the Job Fair?" His reply, "To hire smokin hot, good looking guys who's only goal in life is to be in love with Kim Tittle." Yep, that's why I love that guy. He gets me. Today, the Bloodmobile came to work. I was once again to aenimic to give, but Chef got hooked up to the Alex machine and gave red blood cells. I entertained him and everyone else on the bus while they got poked with needles. That was it. That's all you've missed in the life of Kim Tittle. :0)

Nothing Exciting...

Days #68-70:
Work. Work. Work. That's been the last 3 days. Last night was interesting. I had to teach the verse during Power Hour to the 3rd-5th graders. I'm in 2nd grade for a reason. Those kids are WILD and LOUD. Not really sure they learned a thing. It was rather funny because they kept telling me how they could just leave when they got finished. I wasn't about to let them just run outside in the dark. Granted, they were 11 or so, but I still wasn't so sure about just letting them run. I could just imagine 50 kids from Grace Life were going to end up on a milk carton. However, when I finally got rid of all those kids, my darling 2nd graders came walking down the hall. Good end to a crazy night! :0)
