Days #80&81:
Yesterday (and today) I noticed one thing, I love the good memories I have from elementary school. Mrs. Hogan taught us the Golden Rule and made us say it EVERY single day of 1st grade. It stuck though. You should always be nice to others. No matter how much money you have OR how much power you have, it is never ok to be a monster. I hope that I never make people feel the way that I know certain people make others feel. None of this makes since to any of you, but it makes since to me. If I ever were the boss of a company, team, family, etc. I would hope that I treated everyone from Janitor to Executive with the same amount of respect and didn't rule with fear and dread. That's all I have to say about that.
Today, I also noticed that a call from my Grandma is the BEST way to start the morning. She is hilarious. She told me that she was just studying about me. When I asked what she was studying, she said, "You haven't called me all week. I could've been dead five days and you'd never know it." Hilarious. She also is thinking about going fishing. I think I'll go with her. Considering she never could go out and watch me and all of my cousins swim when we were little becuase looking at the water made her drunk, I can only imagine how a fishing trip would go. :0)
I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.
