I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

Crimestoppers and a Pink Out

Days #297 - #299:
No pics. Just a story and a link. Chef's camera shy, so he wouldn't let me take his pic, but we had a blast last night at the Shoals Area Crimestoppers Dinner. I very much enjoyed telling one crazy fan of his that he was from Red Bay, AL when she couldn't figure out his accent. you had to be there. It was hilarious.
On to my link, I've never been prouder to be a Lynn Alumni than I am today. Our boys are ranked #1 in the state in football, but that's not why I'm proud. They have completely "Pinked Out" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and my best friend Mal's mom, Linda. She's bookkeeper at the school and there has been overwhelming support for her. She's gone through a double mastectomy, chemo and radiation twice, and is one of the sweetest ladies I know. She's amazing and it's AWESOME that they did it in honor of her. Sister told me that the CBS reporter that did the story was just riding through Jasper for something and picked up a Daily Mountain Eagle and saw the pink out and decided it was such a great story that she'd go and do a piece on it for the news. Take two minutes to watch the clip. It's great! :0) http://www.cbs42.com/content/localnews/story/Lynn-Football-Team-Goes-Pink-for-the-Cause/A7dapyNdEUm8TLTxrO7paA.cspx
