I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

Happy Birthday Anyway...

Day #13:
Grandma can make lemons out of lemonade. Even though every decoration I bought for her party is in my car, locked up on a car lot, she still managed to try and have a happy birthday. Can't find my camera to show you her picture, but she took a candle, put it in a biscut and told us to sing to her. After we did a little "retail therapy" (shopping) at the Thrift Store, we bought some of those Hostess chocoalte cupcakes and went back, had the traditional New Year lunch with her complete with black-eyed peas and collards, and then put an 8 and a 6 on them and sang to her again. When I find my pics, I'll post. She's the best. :0)
