I read the most awesome book recently called, The Noticer. Author Andy Andrews says that, "The Noticer is rooted in the belief that our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely and one of the best ways to use that gift is by noticing those who have made an impact in our lives". That's what I hope to do this year. I want to notice EVERYTHING for 365 days - All of the God moments in my life - All of the friends and family that surround me - and as always, every bit of the funny that goes on in this world. Hope you enjoy and YOU become a noticer too.

HOLY SNOW!

Days #20-21:
I live in Alabama for a reason. That reason is to AVOID all winter weather... this week, winter weather let me down. Holy cow - we got 10 inches of snow! I don't know that I've EVER seen 10 inches of snow. I am NOT cut out to live in the north... apparently no Alabamaians are. The Quad cities completely shut down. EVERYBODY stayed home... everybody that is except for the wonderful world of hospitality workers. Unfortunately, we don't get snow days. So after hitching a ride to work, we ended up in the portico, shoveling snow. Here are pics of me and Chef. I wore the cute hat and took pics. I did shovel a lot, but he's from Iceland and has lived in New York ~ Bowser's from Pennsylvania ~ and Ron the Bellman is from Minnesota.. obviously these guys were a little more experienced than me. The one good thing about getting snowed in where I work is that there's a 4-Diamond room for you to sleep in at the end of the night. Now if all this darn snow will melt, we can get back to normal around here! :0)
